On 1 April, the Green Ammonia Energy Workshop took place in the Netherlands, bringing together researchers, industry experts, and stakeholders both in person and online. AMBHER project, ANDREAH project, APOLO project, CAIPIRINH3A Project, FASTER Project and MEASURED Project presented their advancement of work during the workshop strengthening clustering activities. The event provided a valuable platform for discussing recent advances and future directions in the development of green ammonia as a sustainable energy carrier
The workshop featured a strong line-up of speakers, including Dr. George Skevis, Dr. Konstantinos Kourtzanidis, and Prof. Agustín Valera Medina, who shared their expertise on key aspects of ammonia energy systems, from production pathways to end-use applications. Their presentations highlighted ongoing research efforts and the technological challenges that must be addressed to support the wider adoption of green ammonia in the energy transition.
A central highlight of the event was the panel discussion, which brought together experts from different fields to exchange perspectives on the opportunities, challenges, and innovation needs across the green ammonia value chain. The discussion emphasised the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in advancing scalable and efficient solutions for clean energy production and storage.
In addition to the technical sessions, the workshop offered excellent opportunities for networking and informal exchange, allowing participants to connect, share ideas, and explore potential collaborations. These interactions contributed to a dynamic and engaging atmosphere throughout the day.
The organisers extend their sincere thanks to all speakers, and more than 140 participants and partners for their contributions, which made the workshop a highly successful and impactful event.
