Partners CNRS, Lund University, and the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) represented the CAIPIRINH3A Project at the ESCAMPIG 2026 Conference (European Sectional Conference on Atomic and Molecular Processes in Ionized Gases), held in Funchal, Portugal, from 7–11 July 2026. The conference brought together researchers from across Europe to present the latest advances in plasma science and its applications across a wide range of scientific and industrial fields.
During the conference, the CAIPIRINH3A consortium presented the research “Tailoring the Delivered Energy and Reduced Electric Field in Air: Geometric Study for Preparation of Experiments on NH₃ Dissociation.” The work explored how plasma operating conditions can be optimised through geometric design to better control energy delivery and electric field characteristics, supporting experimental studies on ammonia dissociation.
The presentation highlighted the project’s ongoing efforts to advance plasma-assisted technologies for ammonia-based energy applications, contributing to the development of innovative solutions that can improve the efficiency and sustainability of future clean energy systems.
Participation in ESCAMPIG 2026 provided an excellent opportunity to disseminate the latest research results, exchange knowledge with the international plasma science community, and strengthen scientific collaborations that support the objectives of the CAIPIRINH3A Project in advancing low-carbon energy technologies.
