Dr. Agustin Valera-Medina from CARDIFF University was a keynote speaker at the 10th International Combustion Institute Winter School.
The school featured lectures, masterclasses, poster sessions, technical visits, and vibrant social activities, fostering a promising environment for learning, networking, and exchanging ideas attracting more than 250 attendees.
Dr. Agustin presented ammonia’s benefits as an emerging carbon-free fuel to support decarbonisation. His talk highlighted ongoing research advancing its use in turbines, engines, and boilers to overcome efficiency and emission challenges, with part of the presentation dedicated to CAIPIRINH3A’s research and vision. The event proved to be the right place to disseminate the topic of Ammonia Energy as his presentation sparked wonderful discussions with more than 10 students approaching him after the session, many eager to explore collaborations on “plasmas for aerospace.”
