Project partner Cardiff University represented the CAIPIRINH3A Project at the International Fuel & Chemical Science Conference, held in Aachen, Germany, from 23–25 June 2026. The conference brought together leading researchers, industry experts, and professionals to discuss the latest developments in fuel science, combustion technologies, and sustainable energy systems.
As part of the scientific programme, Professor Agustín Valera Medina delivered a plenary presentation entitled “Ammonia Combustion Developments for Clean Energy Transition”, showcasing recent advances in ammonia-based combustion technologies and their potential to support the transition towards cleaner and more sustainable energy systems. The presentation highlighted ongoing research into ammonia as a carbon-free fuel and explored innovative approaches aimed at improving combustion efficiency while reducing emissions.
The conference provided an excellent platform for disseminating the latest results from the CAIPIRINH3A Project, exchanging knowledge with the international scientific community, and strengthening collaborations with researchers working on next-generation fuel technologies. Participation in the event further reinforced the project’s commitment to advancing innovative ammonia-based solutions that contribute to the decarbonisation of transport and energy sectors.
