Researchers from the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) represented the CAIPIRINH₃A Project at the 18th Panhellenic Symposium of Catalysis, held in Kozani, Greece, from 8 to 10 October 2026.
During the symposium, the CERTH team presented the poster entitled “A Numerical Framework for Plasma-Assisted NH₃ Combustion and CO₂ Catalytic Decomposition”, highlighting advances in numerical modelling for ammonia-based energy systems and low-emission technologies.
The presented work focused on modelling approaches that support the investigation of plasma-assisted ammonia combustion and catalytic carbon dioxide decomposition. These research activities contribute to the development and understanding of innovative technologies with potential applications in cleaner energy systems and the broader transition towards decarbonisation.
The symposium brought together researchers and experts in catalysis, providing a valuable platform for exchanging scientific knowledge, discussing recent developments and strengthening connections within the research community. It also offered an opportunity to disseminate CAIPIRINH₃A’s progress and results to specialists working on catalysis, advanced energy technologies and sustainable solutions.
Through its participation in scientific events such as this symposium, CAIPIRINH₃A continues to share its research findings and contribute to ongoing discussions on the role of ammonia and plasma-assisted technologies in the development of future clean energy systems.
